FAQs

When should I start my microbe routine to ensure it's ready for my 4th of July party?

The sooner you start, the better off you'll be! We recommend starting your initial dose, at the latest, by mid-May, with a maintenance dose every 2 weeks. This will give you a total of 4 applications over 6 weeks.

How do I know what size bucket I need?

The size of your pond is going to determine the bucket size that is needed. If you are just trying things out, we recommend using the 8 lb. option. If you are a seasoned pro, we suggest the 24 lb. option. For a more accurate bucket size, try out our treatment calculator that we have available! Just enter your pond's surface area and the length of the treatment in months.

Do both buckets need to be the same size, or can I get one 8lb bucket and one 24 lb bucket?

Yes, both products need to be the same size. If you select 8 lb. buckets, both the Pond & Lake Clarifier and the Muck Eliminator Tabs will be delivered in 8 lb. buckets. If you select 24 lb. buckets, both the Pond & Lake Clarifier and the Muck Eliminator Tabs will be delivered in 24 lb. buckets. The Alpine dye is a 1 quart bottle.

What kind of hat is the free hat with purchase?

The free hat, while supplies last, is a 5-panel snapback hat, one size fits all. It is one of our favorites and we enjoy the quality of it.

ClearLake™ Pond & Lake Clarifier:
For best results do NOT apply ClearLake™ Pond & Lake Clarifier water soluble bags in the same area of the pond. Throw the prescribed quantity of water-soluble bags into the water body so they are dispersed evenly in a grid-like fashion.

Initial Application: 6 lbs. per surface acre of water
Maintenance Application: 2 to 3 lbs. per surface acre every 2 weeks

ClearLake™ Muck Eliminator Tabs:
For best results spread ClearLake™ Muck Eliminator Tabs evenly over the surface of the pond or lake so tablets fall uniformly to the bottom. ClearLake™ Muck Eliminator Tabs can be applied to the entire water body or in targeted areas of application such as a shoreline, beach-front or around docks. 1 Tab = ¼ oz.

Initial Application: 6 lbs. per surface acre of water
Maintenance Application: 2 to 3 lbs. per surface acre every 2 weeks

ClearLake™ Alpine Blue™ Aquatic Dye:
For best results apply ClearLake™ Alpine Blue™ Dye evenly around the edge of the pond or lake. Alpine Blue™ will disperse throughout the pond quickly eventually, covering the entire surface of the pond in minutes.

Maintenance Application: 1 quart treats 4-8 acres, 4-6 ft. deep
